The Fault in Our Stars - John Green John Green is a literary genius. I had never read one of his books before, but I will definitely be adding more to my TBR list, which is growing faster than it goes down. The Fault in Our Stars is heart wrenching. I had to keep stopping because I was starting to cry and couldn't continue reading. I don't want to say too much about the storyline because I want each and every one of you, who haven't read this masterpiece, to go read it, and I don't want to ruin it for you. All I'm going to say is I thought I knew what was going to happen, I was completely wrong! So this story is fairly unpredictable, but quite enjoyable. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love with the characters.First we have Hazel, she has a pretty shitty life. When you can't breathe on your own, life sucks. But, she tries not to let it get her down too much, but with her diagnosis, there is no cure, it's just a countdown to when she dies, not if. So, she tries to limit how many people can be close to her, then when she dies there won't be so many people hurt. Then she meets Augustus. He's a hottie and is completely obsessed with her. she tries not to let him get too close, but how long can a girl keep a hot guy at bay, a guy who does everything in his power to turn the tide in his favour? It's only a matter of time until she falls for him, but she doesn't want to hurt him, she's a ticking bomb after all.I love the way both Hazel and Augustus talk. They talk more maturely than the teenagers they are, but they had to grow up fast, so it's not surprising. They are both strong characters that are hard not to fall in love with. When I first started reading the book, I knew there would be heartbreak, but there is also lots of love and laughs. These two both seem so nonchalant about the future and want to live the best that they can now. The end is inevitable, but how you live your life can make all the difference. The characters make this book amazing, and they are extremely well written.I definitely recommend this book, it's just something everyone should read. Whether you read YA, adult, paranormal, contemporary; you should read this. For more reviews, visit Owl Read It
