Rainshadow Road - Lisa Kleypas I was lucky enough to win this book through Goodreads First Reads. I have never read any of Lisa Kleypas' books before but I'm glad I got this chance because I loved this book! It was an extremely easy read and the story flowed along really well, very well written. I haven't read any contemperary romance for awhile, but I'm gladthis was the one. It's not hard for the reader to sympathize with Lucy, she seems to have really terrible luck. It's no fun growing up with a sibling when it's obvious they get special treatment, and look where that got Alice.. I really disliked Alice throughout the book, even at the end, I still disliked her. No matter how she tried to justify her actions, they were wrong.I felt awful for Sam and his brothers. Having alcoholic parents is anawful thing, no wonder they are unable to trust others. So both Lucy and Sam had less than satisfactory childhood. Both have discovered magic within themselves. Lucy can change glass into living creatures, and Sam can sense a plants needs to help them thrive. The love story is well set up and very enjoyable.I definitely reccommend this book and think everyone should read it. If you're looking for a love story that is quick to read, light-hearted, magical, and steamy, this isa book for you!
