Dragon Night - Stephanie Campbell Dragon Night was a pretty good story. I like the idea behind it, I like the characters and I love the dragons! But, somehow this story just didn't make me fall in love with it. I guess there were just times where it felt a little slow, kind of like there was just a bit too much detail? I'm no really sure, that's just how it felt for me. That doesn't mean a whole lot for me though, because there are dragons!! I was born in the year of the dragon, so I really like them and am fascinated with them!So Ford, I had to feel sorry for the kid. His parents pretty much treat him like crap and he only has one real friend. Then he finds out, to his pleasure at the time, that Wicker isn't his dad. So he decides he has to go find his dad, especially since there is something weird going on with his body. So off he goes, not even really knowing where exactly to look. Then all of a sudden, he finds out that he's a dragon, clearly something he got from his father. Poor kid just doesn't know what to think, his like kind of sucks.I did really like the dragons and the draconics (what For is, half human, half dragon!) They were fairly different from any of the dragons that I've read about. They are magical, and the pure dragons are extremely evil and treat the draconics as slaves. Clearly they need a savior, maybe Ford will be able to help out! There is quite a bit of action in this book, how can there not be with dragons. But again, there were parts that dragged a bit for me. Overall though, I did enjoy it, and I will be recommending it to fantasy lovers. So if you like dragons, you should definitely check this one out. It's a pretty short and quick read!
